"Thanks for giving boxes" Thanksgiving event... stay tuned for further details
During last year's "Thanks for giving boxes" event, $10,000 we were able to raise and purchase 32 ChromeBooks for the classrooms. Thank you for all your support and generosity.

​The 12th Annual Kiwanis Incredible Duck Splash
For the second year in a row, John Muir Elementary will officially be participating in the 2016 Duck Splash - an event hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Glendale, that supports various charities and non-profit organizations locally.

Where:    "Lake Glendale" at Verdugo Park - 1621 Canada Blvd., Glendale, CA 91206

Join the John Muir Elementary School Duck Splash Team and "adopt" a rubber ducky to participate in the race and earn chances to win big prizes...including a First Place race prize of $10,000.

SEPTEMBER 2016

Music Program Fundraiser
John Muir Foundation launched a program to provide children an opportunity to advance their musical talents with rhythmic instruments, singing songs, composing songs and learning to read music. All lower grade students will get one half hour class per week. the goal is for each student is to develop basic music competence. Proceeds will go directly to our Music Program for all lower grade students (TK-3rd) Goal is $18,000.

AUGUST - SEPTEMBER 2016

KONA ICE Wednesdays
For the months of August and September, the John Muir Elementary Foundation has a treat for Muir students and family. Every Wednesday starting at 2:00 PM the Kona Ice truck will be at the front entrance of the school selling Hawaiian shaved ice. Please be sure to stop by after school and cool off with a Kona!
